It challenges tipping culture as a compensation model while supporting an economy where employees receive fair wages and genuinely independent professionals have meaningful power to negotiate the value of their expertise.
The larger fight connects workers’ rights with artists’ rights, queer liberation, bodily autonomy, and the decriminalization of consensual adult sex work. **Human beings deserve agency over their bodies, labor, time, and economic participation.** Collective advocacy can challenge abusive concentrations of economic power and replace exploitation with relationships built around consent and fair exchange.
